    CHRISTINE YOUSSEF

    OWNER & PRINCIPAL THERAPIST

Naturopath, Herbalist, Nutritionist, Homeopath, Thai Massage & Bowen Body Work Therapist

Christine started in private practice in 1996. She specialises in Nutritional Medicine for a wide variety of health problems in women, men, and children. It is vital that the body and mind are nourished well before they can perform for us like we want them to, and as they should.

Naturopathy is not "alternative" medicine - it is simply a different system of treatment that focuses on optimal wellness and preventative medicine, rather than just the absence of disease.

That is, even without the diagnosis of a disease, you may still feel tired, unwell, stressed, bloated, suffer with recurrent infections, feel hormonal, or have aching joints. Your choice to seek Naturopathic treatment means you are ready to make dietary and lifestyle changes, that will benefit you in the short term, as well as set in place the foundations for life -long health, and disease prevention.

Christine's  approach is down-to-earth, sensible, and achievable… no extreme diets or mountains of pills to swallow. A Naturopathic consultation typically takes 1 – 1.25 hrs, and your diet, digestive function, sleep, stress levels, hormones, physical activity, and energy levels will be discussed. We offer support, education, and expert guidance – to get you well, and keep you there.

    MARIA BOURIS-MEACOCK

Maria has been working as a massage therapist since 2006. She practises Remedial massage, Sports, Swedish, Reiki and Kahuna Hot Stone Massage.

Remedial massage... Is used for general and specific areas of the body to soften and mobilize muscles. Also used to treat tight and constricted muscles in the face, neck, shoulder, back, arms and legs.

Swedish massage... A relaxing and nurturing treatment. Relieves stress, tension, headaches and muscular aches.

Sports massage... Prevents injury with regular massage, treats specific injuries such as muscle micro tearing, tendonitis. Also used to enhance recovery during injury, reduce and help align scar tissue formation.

Kahuna Hot Stone Massage... Is based on the ancient art from the Hawaiians using hot stones, coconut oil and techniques from Hawaiian Ka Huna Lomi Lomi massage. The smooth basalt stones are chosen for their size and shape. For example the three larger stones are placed on the key energy centres (chakras) totally relaxing and warming the body. Smaller stones are used to massage with, and even smaller again are placed between the toes. The stones are high in magnesium and iron and retain their heat and with the use of the coconut oil glide easily over the muscles smoothing tension along the way. A full body massage starts with the legs and feet and finishes with a gentle face massage. 90 minutes is recommended for a full body massage.

A comforting and nurturing treatment which improves blood circulation, calms the nervous system and relaxes muscles. Improvement may also occur in clients with fibromyalgia, depression, insomnia, stress, anxiety, tension, back pain, rheumatism, arthritis and muscular aches.

Remember having regular massage will preserve your good health by managing stress, preventing injuries and increasing your energy levels.
